# ATXP Chat — $5 Free Credits Registration
|

## What it is
|
|
ATXP Chat is a separate frontend for chatting with frontier models (Claude Opus 4.8, Gemini 3.1 Pro, GPT 5.5, Grok 4) using ATXP credits. Registration gives **$5 free credits** without requiring fund/subscription.
|
|
|
|
**Landing page:** `https://atxp.chat/` (static, GitHub Pages)
|
|
**Actual Chat SPA:** `https://chat.atxp.ai/` (React SPA with OAuth "Sign in with ATXP" button). The SPA redirects to atxp.chat for auth, then back to chat.atxp.ai for the chat interface.
|
|
|
|
## Registration flow
|
|
1. Navigate to `https://atxp.chat/`
|
|
2. Click "Start chatting free" → redirects to `accounts.atxp.ai` with Privy auth widget
|
|
3. Displays: "You're signing up for Chat, powered by ATXP. 1. Create your free ATXP account. 2. Use your first $5 (on us!) to start chatting. 3. Top up when needed — No subscription required."
|
|
4. Enter email → click Continue → Privy sends magic link
|
|
5. Verify email via magic link → account created with $5 credits
|
|
|
|
## Pitfalls
|
|
- **Temp email blocked**: Privy does NOT deliver verification codes to GuerrillaMail (sharklasers.com), HuskMail, or other disposable email services. The "Sending code..." spinner appears but email never arrives in inbox.
|
|
- **Requires real email**: Needs either a real email provider (Gmail, Outlook, t-online.de) OR DuckDuckGo + VPN method used for regular web registration.
|
|
- **Turnstile**: Same Privy Turnstile as accounts.atxp.ai — blocks headless browser. Requires real browser (DuckDuckGo/VPN) or manual solving.
|
|
- **Optimistic UI trap**: The \"Sending code...\" spinner appears even when Turnstile silently fails — always verify email arrived via IMAP before waiting. If no email within 10 seconds, Turnstile likely blocked the request.
|
|
|
|
## API endpoints
|
|
- No dedicated API for atxp.chat — uses accounts.atxp.ai backend
|
|
- `GET /api/auth/register?email=X` → 405 Method Not Allowed
|
|
- Frontend is hosted on GitHub Pages with React
|
|
|
|
## Relationship to ATXP accounts
|
|
- Creates a standard ATXP account with $5 IOU tokens
|
|
- NOT restricted for chat usage (only for LLM Gateway)
|
|
- Can be funded further via Stripe for additional usage
|
